Paul T. Anderson has been successfully navigating the intersection of government, politics, business, and non-profits for more than 25 years, with a devotion to helping others succeed.  

Known for his multi-dimensional, 360-degree perspective, judgment, work-ethic, character, and communication skills, Paul has earned a reputation for achieving accountability and results at all levels. His combined experience and wisdom have allowed him to achieve particular success in complex, crisis, and highly public environments, building trust in dynamic organizations and professional relationships.

While CEO of The Anderson Group consulting firm, Paul was elected to the Minnesota Senate in 2016. He quickly gained respect with colleagues from both political parties and became chair of the higher education committee as a freshman, which has jurisdiction over 110 institutions, 400,000 students, and overseeing bi-annual appropriations of $3.4 billion.  Likewise, his legislative focus on reforms to workforce development, training, and business expansion led to the creation of a bi-partisan $60 million emergency relief grant program for small businesses facing the COVID-19 crisis.  In just four years, he also took on mental health, hunger, sex trafficking, and helping disadvantaged students succeed.  All-in, Paul authored over fifty bipartisan bills that became law, earning several awards as a legislator of distinction.

Paul's prior work includes serving as Deputy Chief of Staff for Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty, where he led major initiatives and helped guide a workforce of 30,000 employees, with a $30 billion annual budget.  Additionally, he has served in business development for a Silicon Valley startup, CEO for a national veteran's charity, senior staff for U.S. Congressman Jim Ramstad, and co-owner of his family business. 

A graduate of Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, Paul went on to become a policy fellow at the University of Minnesota's Humphrey Institute. He and his wife, Jamie, live in the Twin Cities suburbs with their two daughters.
